August 2010 Newsletter

Hi everyone, well, after a lot of work my craft room is organized. It felt good to start crafting again. I didn’t craft in over 3 weeks while moving and setting up at home and I was having withdrawal. I am back on track now and I am getting ready for the Waterford craft show this coming Saturday at the high school. Hopefully the weather will be nice as it is held outside rain or shine. Thank goodness for pop-up gazebos. I have some of my handmade calendars ready for 2011 and they will be available at the show.
For the month of August I am doing a buy 2 get one special. Buy 2 stamps at regular price and get a 3rd stamp of equal or lesser value for 50% off. All Christmas stamps are 30% off for the month of August also.
Just a reminder that stamp club is the 3rd Thursday of every month and there is an afternoon and evening session. The card theme for this months swap is Halloween.
As always workshops for your group can be scheduled for your convenience and if you want to host a workshop for a group of 6 or more of your friends just invite them to join you here and reap the rewards.
I want to make everyone aware that we are not taking credit cards at this time however paypal can be used. The monthly charge for credit card processing is too much right now when the number of credit card purchases is not enough to warrant the expense. This could change in the future.
Well, I think I covered everything for now. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and I hope to see some of you at the craft show.

Hi everyone, just want to let you know that we still here. We have been very busy moving out of the store and it has taken longer than we thought it would. WE didn’t realize how much stuff we actually have to move until we started doing it. We are just about done and I think one more day will do it.
As I mentioned in my last newsletter I will be running my business from home. I have come up with some new ideas regarding the open house night that I talked about. I will refer to it as stamp club from now on. I am not just going to do one night a month as I realize there are people who can only attend during the day. I will be having a stamp club in the afternoon as well. I will be doing the day and evening club on the third Thursday of the month. The daytime will be from 12:30-2:30 pm and the evening from 6:00-8:00pm. There is no charge to attend and there will be a door prize at each session every month. Also I would like everyone that attends to bring 6 finished cards with them. I will collect all the cards and swap them out and everyone that brings the cards will get 5 back the next month. The 6th one is for me to display. I think this will be a lot of fun however, it is not a required, and participation is strictly voluntary. Also, anyone wishing to share a technique or a card idea could make this even more fun. One more thing, a Birthday surprise. Anyone who has a birthday during the month in which they attend stamp club will receive a Birthday gift from me. I welcome any feedback you might like to share with me and I am always open to suggestions. OOPS! I almost forgot. For this month in order for me to get it all together in my home I will have stamp club on the 22nd instead of the 15th and until we get going with this I would appreciate it if you would give me a call or email me and let me know that you are coming so that I can get a sense of how many people are interested.
Need to do some shopping? Just give me a call and set up your own shopping time. Soon I will set up regular shopping hours that won’t require calling me first.
